Valentines Day AKA Single awareness day (S.A.D)

Contrast to this sad picture, I'm not bothered about being "alone" or single on valentines day. Yes, you might consider me weird but I'm not. i just simply believe that valentines day isn't just for "lovers" but for friends and family too. Asking someone to be your valentine does always have to be such a big deal. i might be single but i can tell you that i love valentines day because its one day excess romantic movies come out and i get to watch them.... lol. but on the more serious note i really enjoy this day and sometimes i celebrate it more than the lovers because i always have so much fun while they are trying to make it all perfect and making sure that everything follows and agenda, plan or schedule. I just move with the flow and have a blast.

Now, to sum it all up, I'm just saying, have a blast treat yourself to something nice (if you can), and watch romantic movies. and also don't focus on the fact that you don't have a lover but rather focus on the joy that other lovers are happy... (remember yourself last, others first) and when you see the joy, happiness and love you're surrounded by, you to will be filled with excess joy :D

yes i know this is contrast to all the things going up online today but that's just what makes me different...

BTW, I'm in school so i cant post a video but if i could, it would be 10/10 by Neato C.... because that's what we all are...

And vote for iIicekid on gidilounge today :)

Fairytale

So you've seen my short stories and articles. Well, it all started with poems. i never would've written articles without writing poems. so check this one out...

As pretty as she was
With shoes of silver
With the man of her dreams,
It was just a fairy tale

That love could be founded,
On something more than gain
That it's always happy ever after,
That's just a fairytale

Sweeping of your feet
Pride always brought defeat
Maids turn to queens,
That's just a fairytale

Walking hand in hand
Emotions beyond control
Feelings as real as gold
That's just a fairytale

Love above all things
Sacrifice was never too much
The two shall become one
Now that's just fairytale...

So what do you think?
Are these things really fairytales or its just me...
Comments greatly appreciated :)

NIgerian Secondary Schools

So I was on YouTube today and I stumbled on this video... Check it out

So i don't know if all the facts that are stated are right but, i don't think that the facts are the reasons why he made this video.
Sha, when i watched this video i was really sad because these are kids my age that are deprived of the education that i take for granted. To me going to school is annoying I'd rather miss or skip a day and to these kids they would love the opportunity to go to school and be the best they can be. i mean people failing Math and English.

So, if you are a teacher, mentor or you're just a caring volunteer out there and you can help, it'll be greatly appreciated. I mean they are not looking for money just volunteers. Anybody can help in one way or another. Lets all join together to create a better country and society.
BTW, those numbers are staggering "98% FAILED!!!".... let's all think about it..

Our Time....And my opinion

So if you don't know what our time is, then here's what its all about:

“OUR TIME” is a youth targeted initiative put together by United Nations Youth Ambassador D’banj  leading artist and entrepreneur in Nigeria.
D’banj has formally announced in a press conference on the 2nd of February, that he will be leading a group of artists in Nigeria, with the support of icons and professionals to engage Nigerian Youths in the ongoing voters registration. While various organizations have been formed to support this cause, this is the first time in Nigerian Entertainment History, that artists have formed a coalition, to encourage the Youth of Nigeria to register to vote, vote, and have a voice in the future of Nigeria.
At a time of political unrest in the African body polity, Nigerian youths demonstrate true democracy.
OUR TIME ensures the participation of the youths in the ongoing Democratic transformation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It is the findings of OUR TIME that only 8% of eligible youths are registered to vote and it will do the ongoing democratic Motransformation harm if there is a low turnout of the youths in the forthcoming elections. It is the belief of OUR TIME that a strategy is devised to ensure youth participation in the ongoing voters registration and in the forthcoming elections. OUR TIME demonstrates the vision of progress and change in the Nigerian body polity and positions the leadership as a beacon of hope and a shining light at a time when parts of Africa are in turmoil. The Intentions of OUR TIME is to utilize a unique platform to create a campaign that will mobilize the youths to participate in the ongoing voters registration exercise via radio jingles, television ads, print media, online marketing and concerts in six geographical regions in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Led by D’banj and Mo Hits Records, a 6 state concert is being planned which will feature top international African and Nigerian artists. Entry to the concert will be strictly by showing your voters registration card. The advantages include positioning Nigeria under the present leadership as a true democratic country, ensuring the massive participation of youths in the democratic process, initiating change through positive social interaction, worldwide media coverage of the positive changes thereby showcasing a new Nigeria and the power of the youths to decide their leadership. D’banj, Musical Artist and UN Ambassador for the youths and foremost voice of the youths in the federal republic of Nigeria alongside leading artists (Mo’Hits Cre, P-Square, Naeto C, Sasha, M.I, Duncan Mighty, Terry G, Timaya, Timi Dakolo and many others) embark on a series of free concerts in Six geographical regions of Nigeria in a bid to ensure youth participation in the ongoing voters registration. Entry into these concerts will require no gate fee, only your Voters Registration Cards.
It has been proven that the entertainment industry is the fastest growing and most vibrant industry in Nigeria and entertainers have the ability to motivate the youths to perform their civic responsibilities.
D’banj and all supporting artists, hereby formally announce that it is OUR TIME; we must register, participate and vote."
So if you're like me you're not really into reading long stories. So I'll tell you the basis about the whole thing. "OUR TIME" is sort of like a group of artist who have come together to try and encourage us teenagers/ youth adults to vote in the coming elections. they are going to do things like free concerts to encourage young adults to vote.

My Opinion: I think it's a really good idea but I also think it's a little late. I mean, how many more days not to talk of hours before vote registration is over. They should've started doing this a long time ago not just now... how many people are going to actually get out of their houses last minute to go and vote because of the "encouragement"? I know I wouldn't so I'm not expecting much from this initiative...although, i will still hit the free concerts cos its FREE (if i could go) ... :)
So what do you guys think about this? ...

I'll carry you...

When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said,
I've got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed
the hurt in her eyes.

Suddenly I didn't know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I
was thinking. I want a divorce. I raised the topic calmly.

She didn't seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why?

I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and
shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn't talk to each other. She
was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage.
But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; she had lost my heart to
Jane. I didn't love her anymore. I just pitied her!

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she
could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company.

She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten
years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted
time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved
Jane so dearly. Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had
expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of
divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer
now.

The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the
table. I didn't have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast
because I was tired after an eventful day with Jane.

When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so
I turned over and was asleep again.

In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn't want anything
from me, but needed a month's notice before the divorce. She requested that in
that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her
reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a month's time and she didn't want
to disrupt him with our broken marriage.

This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to recall how
I had carried her into out bridal room on our wedding day.

She requested that every day for the month's duration I carry her out of our
bedroom to the front door ever morning. I thought she was going crazy. Just to
make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request.

I told Jane about my wife's divorce conditions. . She laughed loudly and thought
it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce,
she said scornfully.

My wife and I hadn't had any body contact since my divorce intention was
explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both
appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mommy in his arms.
His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then
to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes
and said softly; don't tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling
somewhat upset. I put her down outside

the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office.

On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. I
could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn't looked at this
woman carefully for a long time. I realized she was not young any more. There
were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its
toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning.
This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me.

On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing
again. I didn't tell Jane about this. It became easier to carry her as the month
slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger.

She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but
could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown
bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why
I could carry her more easily.

Suddenly it hit me... she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart.
Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head.

Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it's time to carry mom out. To him,
seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his
life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I
turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last
minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the
sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally.
I held her body tightly; it was just like our wedding day.

But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my
arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly
and said, I hadn't noticed that our life lacked intimacy.

I drove to office.... jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I
was afraid any delay would make me change my mind...I walked upstairs. Jane
opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Jane, I do not want the divorce
anymore.

She looked at me, astonished, and then touched my forehead. Do you have a fever?
She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Jane, I said, I won't divorce. My
marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn't value the details of
our lives, not because we didn't love each other anymore. Now I realize that
since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her
until death do us apart.

Jane seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the
door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away.

At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The
salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote, I'll carry you
out every morning until death do us apart.

That evening I arrived home, flowers in my hands, a smile on my face, I run up
stairs, only to find my wife in the bed - dead.

My wife had been fighting CANCER for months and I was so busy with Jane to even
notice. She knew that she would die soon and she wanted to save me from the
whatever negative reaction from our son, in case we push thru with the
divorce.-- At least, in the eyes of our son--- I'm a loving husband....

So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined
together, let not man separate...

The Truth...

People keep on asking me what's up? like they really care. They question my moodswings, lazyness and also my constant crave for sleep. Why can't they just leave me alone and mind thier own business. Must they know everything about me?. Can't I live in peace?. Its not that I dont want them to care, its just i could really use some time alone instead of always being pestered and tormented to telling them the truth..
The truth... can they even handle it, if it hit them right in the face? No, they cant. They'll end up going around gossiping instead of helping me. They'll make life miserable and unbearable. They'll torture me and rain insults on me
What could be so BIG that'll literally destroy my life? Here it is, I'm Pregnant!... I have a bastard growing in me...

Deuces :)

BTW, i would like to say a big THANK YOU to all those checking my blog and supporting me. you're all amazing :-D.

When people see u lying down, with your eyes closed and they ask:-Are
u sleeping?
A: No! I’m training to die

Imagine when you take an equipment to a technician to get
it fixed & he still asks u:-Need it to be fixed?
A: No, it got bored of staying home alone so I brought it over for a ride.

When it’s raining & someone notices you going out and they ask:-Are u going
in this rain?
A: No, in the next one.

When you wake up, then someone comes asking you: - You Awake?
A: No. I'm sleep walking!

Your friend calls your home phone, and asks: - Where are you?
A: At the bus stop!

They see you wet coming from the bathroom, and ask: - Did you just have a bath?
A: No, I fell in the toilet bowl!

You are standing right in front of the elevator on the ground floor
and they ask: - Going up?
A: No, I am waiting for my apartment to come down and get me.

Your boyfriend comes to your house with a bunch of flowers. And you
still ask him: - are those Flowers?
A: No baby! Na Carrots.

You’re in the toilet when someone knocks on the door asking:  - Is
anyone in there?
A: No! The poo is talking to you!

You're on the queue to buy tickets at the cinema; a friend saw u &

Diddy sued for $1 trillion, blamed for 9/11

Here's the story:

"New York, Jan 29 (ANI): A woman from Los Angeles has reportedly filed a 1- trillion-dollar lawsuit against music mogul Diddy, claiming that he is responsible for the September 11 attacks.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Valerie Joyce Wilson Turks also accused Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, his ex-girlfriend Kim Porter and police brutality victim Rodney King of somehow being responsible for the collapse of the World Trade Center.
After they "knocked down the WTC" she wrote, the three came and "knocked my children down."
Turks also added that Diddy stole a poker chip worth "100 zillions of dollars" that she won in a Mississippi casino and later gave it away to someone else.
She further claimed she once dated Diddy and that the 41-year-old rapper is the father of her 23-year-old son.
She is petitioning for 900 billion dollars in child support. The other 100 billion dollars she is seeking is for "loss of income," reports the New York Post.
A Los Angeles judge denied her request for a restraining order against Diddy, but set a hearing for Jan 31. (ANI)"

Insecurities

Well, I never thought I'd start my blog with such a serious tone but that's all that has been in my head all day; remember I'm jst a teenager so don't judge me quicky but correct me if you must. Here it goes:
Insecurities
sometimes we are insecure about our place with God, family, friends and basically all forms of relationships that we have in life. I remember how sometimes I feel insecure about if my friends trust me or they are lying or something is wrong somewhere... It's that feeling that makes you doubt who you are and what you've become. I remember talking to an accquintance today and you could see the insecurity gushing out of him. He even admitted it but did absoluetly nothing to change or stop it. It made me wonder; are insercurities bad?, are they a part of life?, is it just another obstacle that we must overcome?... Hmmm... So many questions, very few answers...

Well here's a little thinker...
Tell me what you think... Pls :)

To be continued I guess, or maybe not.. Depends on you
